Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-English and half-Spanish woman, was born April 16, 1996, in Miami Florida. She is the child of Dennis Alan Taylor, a former banking executive and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist is Anya Taylor-Joy. Her father is an Argentine who is of Scottish as well as English descent. Her mother is Spanish as well as English heritage. Taylor-Joy has five siblings four from her father's prior marriage. Buenos Aires was her home until she turned six, when the family moved from the city of Victoria in London. Taylor Joy says that moving to England was very traumatic. Taylor Joy was unable to master English and was hoping to move back to Argentina. Hill House became her school preference after she was ordered to move schools. Then she enrolled in Queen's Gate School, where she studied dance and performed in productions. When she was 16, she quit school in order to take on acting as a profession. Taylor-Joy had always wanted to work as an actor. At the age of 16, Sarah Doukas Founder of Storm Management gave her the possibility to be a model.
